Physical Training Council Day

On February 19, 2015, with the occasion of the “Physical Training Council Day”, the Land Forces Combat Training Center “Getica” had the sports event day.

 

Under the “friendship through sports” slogan, pupils from the Secondary School in Cincu joined the LFCTC personnel in the PT tests.

 

With the occasion, LFCTC had a quest of honor in the person of the war veteran, Ioan Cristea. With a voice touched with emotion, the war veteran wished to all present a long and happy life.

 


The visit of the president of Romania

On January 30, the Land Forces Combat Training Center „Getica” had the honor to receive the visit of the president of Romania, Klaus Iohannis.

 

The president was greeted by the chief of General Staff, lieutenant general Nicolae Ciucă and also by the guard of honor of the 33rd Mountain Battalion.

 

The chief of state was invited to visit the center’s training capabilities, the real, constructive and virtual simulation systems along with other specific equipment.

 


RESOLUTE SUPPORT 15-1

On January 19-30, 2015, The Land Forces Combat Training Center „Getica” hosted the RESOLUTE SUPPORT 15-1 exercise. The mission rehearsal exercise brought the 33rd Mountain Battalion face to face to an operational environment similar to the one the battalion will meet in the theatre of operations.


The visit of the Chief of the Romanian Land Forces Staff

On January 21, the Chief of the Romanian Land Forces Staff, major general Dumitru Scarlat, visited the Land Forces Combat Training Center “Getica”.

 

The visit was occasioned by the Mission Rehearsal Exercise of the 33rd Mountain Battalion.

 

Major general Dumitru Scarlat, took time to address to the 33rd Mountain Battalion, thus expressing his support regarding their training program.


Site survey visit for the WIND SPRING and SARMIS 15 exercises

On January 20-21, took place a site survey visit for the WIND SPRING / SABER JUNCTION 15 şi SARMIS 15 / COMBINED RESOLVE IV exercises, which LFCTC will host this year.

 

In the context of post ISAF NATO approach of the „Connected Forces Initiative”, took form the „Connected Training Initiative”, in order to maintain and sustain the interoperability gained in the last decades of war.

 

These exercises are part of this concept.
